Oktoberfest
at Old World Village


Did someone say “Bratwurst, beer and the chicken dance?” You must be thinking of Oktoberfest at the Old World Village in Huntington Beach!

Go crazy! Sing a song or learn the beer chant, you’ll fit right in… and maybe even win the beer drinking contest!

The Old World Oktoberfest has been going strong since 1978. This German Festival is held inside of the Bavarian Village in Huntington Beach directly off the 405 freeway. You’ll find lots of food, lots of beer and lots of fun!

You will be entertained by a band all the way from Germany and see German acrobats. Dachshund Races are every Sunday… they are sooo cute…this is a must see!!

Sexy waitresses in dirndl skirts selling liquor, music and dancing… Don’t get the wrong idea! This can be a fun family outing too!

Kinderfest is held on Sunday’s and your kids will love the all the things they can do. Carnival games, bouncer and other kid’s activities will keep them busy. Bring the kids, grandkids and the neighbors kids to family day – everyone will have lots of fun!

You ready to go and experience the fun?

Oktoberfest is held for an entire month, typically starting the first week in September and ending the last week of October. You can enjoy the festivities from Wednesday through Sunday. Happy Hour – Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday – 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm.

Another special day during Oktoberfest is German Day. It’s an extra celebration where you find more beer, more bratwurst, and more dancing!

  • Arrive EARLY rather than later so you can get in, for seating and free food!

General Tips

  • $15.00 admission – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
    • Must be 21 or older with valid ID for admission
    • Hours 6:30 pm to 1:00 am
  • FREE ADMISSION Wednesday and Thursday
    • Wednesday and Thursday are Family Nights
    • Minors must be accompanied by a Parent, NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Can not stress the importance of arriving early!! If you visit on a busy night you could be waiting for a few hours to even get in!!
  • Try Happy Hour and you will already be there when the fun starts! Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm
  • Parking is plentiful and FREE, but fills up fast!

Basic Directions

Take the 405 Freeway (North or South) and exit Beach Blvd. South. Take the first right on Center Avenue. You will see Old World Village on the right hand side. Look for the huge globe – you can’t miss it! If you are used to seeing the snow – clad mountains… they aren’t there anymore! Old World Village just finished some renovations and now you will see the large world globe and tile roof tops instead.

Old World Village

When you visit the famous Oktoberfest Festival, you will also enjoy the cobblestone streets of Old World Village.

While you are walking down the stone streets you will notice a Bavarian style village with fresco paintings, a church, Euro Market, Restaurants and pubs. You will also find a Beergarden and Festival Hall. In between all of the major landmarks you will find little shops tucked away selling souvenirs, collectibles and crystal, and other items of interest.

A visit to Old World Village is one of the half day trip ideas you can add to the list of things to do in Orange County! Even when you visit outside of the Festival season, you will enjoy the ambiance and friendly atmosphere at Old World Village.

Take a trip back to old world Germany by taking a quick daycation trip to Huntington Beach. It’s easy to find and easy to park there. It’s worth the trip and worth the experience!
