Thank you for stopping by and taking a look around! You may be wondering what this site is all about? I’d like to share with you why this site exists, why I want you to have this valuable information and a little bit about who I am. Plus… If you want some insider tips on how I did it, I’ll share that with you at the end! I guess it can all be summed up with this….
“I LOVE to travel! And I love it when it’s FREE!” **That’s me up to the right, drinking a beer… who knows where!** I’ve been fortunate to have traveled all over the world. I’ve been to China and stood atop the Great Wall. I’ve spent some time in England and have seen the London Bridge and more. I’ve been to Jamaica and climbed to the top of Dunn’s River Falls. I’ve been to Quebec and toured old Quebec City and admired the cannons near Montmorency Park. As you can imagine this list is short and not all inclusive… it goes on and on and on. **The picture to the left you will see me with the Jenner coastline in the background up in Northern California.** How did I know where to go, what to do and what to see? Was it by sheer luck, happenstance or was it something I researched? Most of my travel destinations have been researched, others were found by sheer luck! How did I research where I wanted to go? There definitely wasn’t a scientific method to it… I asked the locals, got tips from friends, poked around on the internet and looked at travel brochures. The only problem - I always wanted to know just a little more than someone could tell me. I ended up picking up more brochures, reading historical markers, asking questions if I was on a tour, and yes… I was the typical tourist taking all of those pictures!  I got pretty good at researching where I was, where I wanted to go and how to get there. I got so good at it that friends and family would always ask me for travel tips!
I take vacations, weekend getaways, and day trips whenever I can. I am always interested in going somewhere new… and I’ll even drive us there… Let’s go! **In the picture up and to the right, I’m standing INSIDE of a redwood destroyed in a fire almost 100 years ago! Located in Armstrong Redwoods State Park.** Although I’ve been to several different countries and loved it, a piece of my heart stays in the United States… more specifically in sunny Southern California. As you can imagine, my day trips and weekend getaways are focused in this area. And again, my family and friends always want to know where a new place is for THEIR next trip and all the details up front to save them time and money. **In the picture below and to the left, you will see my friend and I somewhere in Manchester, England.** In my research I’ve seen other websites that read more like a phone book. You think you find a great site only to find they have limited information. I’ve found several that will have one or two lines about a location, and that’s it! THEN the site you are on will list a website address (for more info) that redirects you to the homepage of the location you are researching. Ughhh, and double yuck! That is so frustrating.
I’m thinking… Well… I already researched the home page of the place I wanted to go to… now I wanted to know the little tidbits of information they didn’t tell me. I was always asking,“What about parking, can I get a coupon, when is the best time to visit, are there special events, should I bring the little kids or is this a place for the tweens or teens, etc., etc., etc.” These are things I couldn’t find on other websites… That is the FIRST REASON this website was built… My passion to share my knowledge with YOU! I want to provide YOU with fun and interesting places to visit and all the tips you need to know before you go. As for me, I was born and raised in California. I have one younger sister and the coolest little nephew in the world! Yes I’m a proud Aunt too!   
He just turned 2 years old and is a little cracker jack of a character. Just like all little ones out there, he definitely has his own opinion about everything! We can’t forget my little pooper dog!
He is a West Highland Terrier and the best dog I’ve ever had. He just needs to learn how to play catch… He always thinks we are playing “Tag you’re it! or Chase Me!” **The picture to the right was taken in a Forestville Cottage at the Russian River in Sonoma County, California**
I also love a great bottle of wine and I don’t have a problem drinking a beer – whatever – let me know and I’m game! **The picture down and to the left is of my sister and I at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach.**  I have also gotten in the habit of changing my hair color and cut, quite frequently. There is only one primary color it hasn’t been! Change is good, and my Dad would agree… if change didn’t mean pink hair!
I have to say I love a bargain and I love it when I can find something for FREE. After all, the few dollars you can save in parking or with entrance fees will buy you another beer!
The SECOND REASON I built this website is because it was so easy! As I mentioned earlier, I had a few motives for building this website. I wanted to share my knowledge with friends and family and of course travel to new places! One funny thing happened to me last summer. I was a little frustrated at my full time job and thought “wouldn’t it just be GREAT if I won the lottery, quit my job and could travel whenever I wanted?” Well… I didn’t win the lottery! But I did figure out a way to travel whenever I wanted and a way to eventually quit my full time job… I didn’t have to change anything that I was doing, didn’t have to go back to school and basically didn’t have to worry about a thing. Sounds crazy, quit your full time job and travel all the time. But that was a crazy step I was willing to take… my personal freedom was ahead of me and I wanted it now! I found this company called SBI! one day while surfing on the net. It didn’t look too promising when I explored a few of their web pages. I changed my mind quickly when I reached this video.
And I knew I was wrong, this company had something! My mind started turning and I felt like I was onto a little known secret. I started to feel excitement and a little giddy too! Did I find something that was going to be that easy, do what I wanted to do, and it was all in one place ready for me to start NOW? I started looking around the SBI! site, read a few more pages and found another interesting page here.
**The picture to the bottom right is of me and my fiancé in Las Vegas**  When I found that SBI! page listed above, I felt like I won the lottery that day! Yes, the lottery was mine for the taking!
If nothing else, it sure felt like I hit the jackpot in Vegas!! I do have a practical side to me and it stepped in and poked me in the ribs… “You need to do your due diligence and see if this SBI! thing is the real deal or not.” I spent the next week or more researching ways to build an online business. What did it take, what did I need to know? How did I get a web address, how do I pick the name? How do I make a webpage? I had all of these questions that needed answers. You remember how I love to research and find information? Well I spent a lot of time researching. Everywhere I looked there was vague or non-committal information on how to make an on-line business let alone make it work. I thought it would be great to build a website because I loved to travel and share information. I got even more ecstatic when I found out I could do something I loved and make money from it. So my search continued. Almost all of the websites I came across offered a handful of web building tools. Just a handful. Occasionally I would find a company that would offer more than a handful of things. Some of these “well known” companies said they had a “comprehensive package”. When I looked in depth at the “package” these companies offered… they actually left a little bit more to be desired. PLUS… I didn’t know what over half of what they were offering me really was. I’d never heard of half the things in their “packages”. To sum it up… I felt like I was lost. These other companies never told me they would be there if I needed help, they never said they would show me the way, they never said they had a simple solution. What made my research more hilarious is I kept referring back to the SBI! website when I had new questions or needed more information. This company gave me more upfront and honest information before I even committed to do anything!! SBI! was the one site I found that offered the simple solution, the whole package! When I understood what SBI! was all about, I understood and knew they were going to show me the way. Their package included the tools, resources, information, guides, reports, friendly forums, customer support – you could just say “Everything!” It sounded like for once, all of my research was done for me! Yippee!!! This website is a product of what SBI! has helped me achieve. My website is an ever changing and evolving “living” piece of me. It gives me more than a platform to share my knowledge.
